Alliant Techsystems (ATK) Composite Optics, Inc.

AMT, Inc has supported major science endeavors with Composite Optics, Inc for the last 9 years.

Composite Optics, Incorporated (COI) is a provider of advanced composite products for the space and aerospace markets. COI is recognized as a world leader in the design, manufacture and test of composite structure programs for customers around the globe. We have supported COI in the design & fabrication of complex fittings made from aluminum, titanium & Invar.

Who hasn't heard of the Hubble Space Telescope? Our eyes to the future utilize major composite structures that are strong and lightweight manufactured by COI & AMT. Precision components are constructed to tolerances of +/-.0001” to assure proper alignment.

In July 2005, NASA's Deep Impact Mission will allow the first look inside a comet. The composite structure peppered with titanium fittings weighs only 26 pounds, and assures the critical alignment of the telescope.

In 2003 Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) will launch the Mars Exploration Vehicle. This massive structure was fabricated by COI / AMT and utilizes a dozen precision titanium fittings that assure the success of the program and structure.
