Capabilities - Small Hole
Three new EDM machines create our Small Hole EDM
Department. Small Hole EDM (a.k.a. 'hole popping') can EDM drill
holes in any conductive materials more quickly and accurately than
conventional drilling. The process is burr free and very accurate.
Current Capabilities:
- Maximum machining area:
14" x 22" x 12" tall
- Maximum weight: 900 lbs
- Hole size: .006" diameter 0 .250" diameter
Long/Deep hole of very small diameters can be achieved.
We have successfully put a .020" diameter hole thru 4" of niobium.
This cannot be accomplished by traditional means.
